IMO, there is NO REASON Bergdahl should not be in prison for the rest of his miserable life (he should have been given the death penalty for deserting in time of war). Look at the injuries many of those brave guys suffered trying to get him back. Sorry if I offend anyone with my feelings but Bergdahl does NOT deserve less than “life”.

He should be shot for treason and desertion to the enemy in time of war. But life in prison with no possibility of parole will suffice just as long as it truly is life without parole.
Unless he is in solitary confinement 24/7 I have a feeling his life expectancy will be cut short. Imprisoned service members don't care much for traitors if you catch my drift. They may be criminals but the overwhelming majority of them are still patriotic Americans.
