This situation is the very epitome of "A stopped clock is right twice a day". Sure, the lefties were right about Bush Jr., but it was pure accident. Most of the stuff they initially threw out as "proof" that he was stupid was pure bunk. Pretty much, whenever Bush accidentally said something genuinely conservative, that's what they held out as proof that he was stupid.
