The President sometimes refers to the generals who are part of his administration as “my generals.” That is exactly what his chief of staff, Gen. John Kelly, sounded like and acted like this past week. A general in the army of Donald J. Trump.

When he finished his own remarks, he chose only to take questions from reporters who knew Gold Star families, as if everybody else in the room was not informed enough or worthy of being part of the conversation.

When I was a kid growing up in The Bronx, the NY Daily News was a conservative newspaper which my dad brought home every day. The NY Post was owned by the Schiff family and was very liberal. My dad had nothing good to say about the Post.

My, how things have changed. The Daily News is now a near-commie rag, whereas, the Post is owned by Fox and is relatively conservative.

There is one reason, and ONLY one reason, any member of the media continues to go after General Kelly in this instance. It's not because Rep. Wilson is a Dem or a liberal or even a woman; it's because she's black. General Kelly in this instance is beyond reproach, as even most lowlife members of the media would acknowledge...except for the fact that the contrast between him and Representative Wilson is so great that the media feel compelled to attack Kelly out of embarrassment. General Kelly is dignified: Wilson is a clown. Kelly lost a son to war; Wilson manipulated a grieving widow for political reasons; Kelly is intelligent; Wilson is a moron. Kelly wears either a suit or a military uniform; Wilson wears stupid, garish hats. Wilson is a joke who happens to be black...so people who know better still go after Kelly.
