A relative of mine had the same experience training a class of Saudi officers. Going AWOL, Binge-drinking, crazy driving, and shooting down sea-gulls on a public beach with pellet guns. They were recalled to Saudi Arabia eventually — apparently there was some pressure from Saudi attaches to gloss out the details of their misbehavior in the report that went back with them. One Saudi officer implied that they could face beheading if an accurate account of their behavior was given.
