a majority (such as two-thirds or three-fifths) greater than a simple majority
The GOP has a simple majority in both the house and the senate as well as control of the presidency. I understand that you want to emphasize the fact that means the GOP can pass bills without needing any Democrat votes. I agree with that. But calling it a supermajority is a misuse of the term.
