“The disconnect between the media gatekeepers and the non-urban public is startling..”

It is not just this, but something that popped up this week really fascinated me.

The way in which normal people understand stories, and the way in which the leftist understand the same story, is quite different.

Two examples:

1. Bernie Sanders completely misunderstands the Robin Hood story as pointed out this week by Ted Cruz.

2. hillary Clinton completely misunderstands 1984 as is clear when why tries to reference it in her book

Liberalism is a mental disorder

Yep, they misunderstand stories and they misunderstand people. I am struck by the degree to which leftists misjudge the character of conservatives. I know my own heart and I know my conservative friends' hearts, and I know we're nothing like how the left believes us to be.

The way in which normal people understand stories, and the way in which the leftist understand the same story, is quite different.

That's because true believer left-wingers are not educated, or even influenced; they are fully indoctrinated, brainwashed in every sense, and the purpose of their indoctrination is to get them to believe an alternate version of reality. One of the reasons that the Left is hemorrhaging support is because all of the people who leaned left because they were raised by leftists, or all their friends were leftists, or they just only ever saw the leftist viewpoint on TV as they grew up, but were not successfully indoctrinated, are now able to see the Left for what it is, or at least see the cracks, because the Left has gone past the point of sanity and well into ridiculous territory.

As for the nature of the indoctrination, it goes like this: reality says that women and men are differnet. Every day observance supports this. People who are leftist but not indoctrinated will recognize this fact, even if they still insist on the same rights for women, but people who are indoctrinated leftists will NOT accept this fact because they have been conditioned to believe in a reality where men and women are EXACTLY the same. To them, the physical world they inhabit consists of men and women who are no different, to the point where they believe that sex (gender in their terms) doesn't even matter.

If you tell a normal person that men and women are exactly the same, that normal person will reject the idea because their life experience has taught them that it is obviously not true. An unindoctrinated leftist will, at first, believe this assertion, but is still open to changing their thinking based on increased knowledge and experience, and thus will eventually reject this idea upon being in the real world long enough.

An indoctrinated leftist will be conditioned to believe this concept so completely, that when they see evidence to the contrary in the real world, they don't reject the idea, THEY REJECT THE REAL WORLD. They do this by explaining away the disparity using indoctrination buzzwords, such as "sexism" "misogyny" and the various phobias, or claim that patriarchal gender norms have to be removed before we achieve true equality, etc., or that the person showing them the contradicting evidence is just an evil right-winger. And it really does not matter how much information you give them, or how many demonstrations, or how much real-world experience. Their reality is one where men and women are the same, and anything that challenges that idea, in their minds, is challenging reality, the same as if someone told us normal people that tomorrow gravity will reverse and we'll all fly like birds.

As this relates to interpretation of literature, indoctrinated leftists will read such books as 1984 or the Robin Hood legends, and are capable of accepting only the parts that fit this indoctrinated world view. Hillary's "government is God" worldview demands that she read 1984 with that filter in place, because if it is considered a great book, and therefore valid, then it must say what she wants it to say. So, we all read how Big Brother is bad, and Hillary reads it as "people are wrong to hate Big Brother" because to accept the "Big Brother is bad" concept would be to contradict her "government is God" indoctrination and that simply cannot happen.
