President Donald J. Trump announced via Twitter Saturday morning that he will release the long anticipated classified files surrounding the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
Subject to the receipt of further information, I will be allowing, as President, the long blocked and classified JFK FILES to be opened. Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 21, 2017
There are currently more than 3,000 classified documents in the National Archives regarding JFKs death and the investigation into his killer, Lee Harvey Oswald.
25 years ago, Congress passed the President John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act of 1992 which ordered the acting commander-in-chief to release all JFK files by October 26, 2017, barring any threat to national intelligence or security.
Phil Shenon is a Kennedy expert and has written a book on the Warren Commission, the committee tasked with Kennedys assassination investigation. Shenon told the Washington Post that its great news that the president is focused on this and that hes trying to demonstrate transparency. But the question remains whether he will open the library in full every word in every document, as the law requires.
Shenon goes on to note that such a move would infuriate people at the CIA and elsewhere who are determined to keep at least some of the information secret, especially in documents created in the 1990s.
Reports earlier this week claimed that Roger Stone, long time Trump ally, was lobbying the President to release the documents. Stone, an infowars.com contributor told the publication on Thursday that President Trump was all ears on releasing the highly intriguing documents.
He was all ears, Stone said. The president believes in transparency he believes in the publics right to know.
I am optimistic that the president is going to do the right thing.
Stone goes on to claim that the documents will show that Lee Harvey Oswald was trained by the CIA and acted on their commands.
Now, a very good White House source not the president told me that CIA Director Mike Pompeo has been lobbying the president to furiously not to release these documents.
Why? Because I believe they show Oswald was trained, nurtured and put into place by the CIA.
It sheds very bad light on the Deep State, the very same characters trying to take down our president right now.
Many have often speculated that Oswald was part of a larger group and did not act alone, as has been the official story since 1963, the year of Kennedys death. However, these theories are ust pure speculation.
As Jeff Crouere said earlier on Townhall.com, the only way for complete trust and transparency is for full release of the documents.
The President needs to strike an important blow for openness and transparency in government and allow the American people the opportunity to learn the complete story about the Kennedy assassination. Hopefully, nothing will interfere with the online disclosure of all of the JFK documents.
President Trump is being encouraged by members of both parties to fully release the files. A powerful supporter of full disclosure is U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA), Chairman of the Judiciary Committee, who said Americans deserve a full picture of what happened on that fateful day. Finally, after 54 years, it is time for the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
This is our country, we are the government: release the files completely and with redacting. After 54 years, end the secrecy and the speculation.
I agree, that is an absolute must.
the CIA is a mafia.
Way too many coincidences: That one hour movie of Lee Harvey Oswald spouting about his "Fair Play for Cuba" organization, that several thousand word report Oswald wrote about his stay in Russia (in an appendix to the Warren Report) which reads exactly like a Contact Report, the astounding assassination of Oswald in a police station in less than 24 hours, etc., etc.
If the CIA was dirty, we need to know.
Yes, but will POTUS insist on allowing the Russia/Uranium whistleblower to testify before congress?
Back ...and to The left.
Did you mean “without”?
Correct, but you have it backwards.
The Kennedy assassination happened over HALF A CENTURY ago!
It is long past time to release everything connected to it.
Hmm, would these files include the Gerald Ford shenanigans, too?
I really hope we get something of value. We really need something to shatter people’s faith in government so that they will wake up and realize that we are being ruled by the globalist beast system!
OK, I gotta use a couple kollege words. If nothing else, the release will give closure to those on the left and the cottage industry that sprang up, unable to accept the prosaic fact that a lefty crank, all by his lonesome, murdered Kennedy.
Like the X Files, they are invested, they want to believe that it could only be some arcane plot by numerous shady actors in some nefarious, mysterious plot involving Texas oil men, LBJ, the CIA, fascists! (the anti-faggots sure have been quiet lately) and aliens to assassinate sainted John, Joe’s second choice.
I will be interesting, though, to find out why the CIA has its panties in a knot over the release (finally); probably something embarrassing there for our CONTROL/men from UNCLE agents/spooks.
If those files would have meant WW3 it just might have been smart to keep them secret. Was JFK worth it?
There may be discussions of Operation Northwoods and Mongoose contained in these files, as well as names of participants that may still be alive today. Would bode ill for family members still in Cuba.
..... Why do I have a feeling the docs will be almost completely redacted?
The KGB working along with the CIA and the illuminati wanted JFK dead because he wanted world peace and total nuclear disarmament.
bump to stay in the loop
