The violent MS-13 gang has been linked to a wave of recent killings in New York's Long Island suburbs. That's why police believe that human remains found in one location could lead to more grisly discoveries.
Police in Nassau County on Long Island say they have found several spots in a 27-acre park in the hamlet of Roosevelt that may be gravesites for the gang's victims.
“The process is slow due to the terrain and growth,” Detective Lt. Stephen Fitzpatrick of the Nassau County Police Department Homicide Squad told reporters.
Fitzpatrick said one set of male human remains has been found, but has not been identified. He would not reveal how long the remains have been in the area.

We have friends from Garden City and my son lived in Wantagh for a few years.
There are many VERY affluent town on Long Island,but there are also some dumps.

Yes, but it is mostly African American and relatively stable, unlike Hempstead Village where MS13 and its rivals have arrived with an immigrant community, legal and illegal, and have reduced the Black gangs, Crips etc to impotency.One reason for MZ 13 success, besides their brutality, is that they are smart. Most have day jobs as landscapers or contract workers for Long Island’s huge number of home improvement outfits. The day job for the Crips is drinking 40s and smoking blunts. This gives MS 13 members non criminal income and acceptance in the community as ordinary guys.
Careful there. Criticizing MS13 now is considered racist.
On the contrary. MS13 members have jumped the border. ANY income they earn in this country is de facto "criminal".

Actually most of the original MS 13 guys came here quite legally in the 80s as legitimate refugees from civil war and left wing terrorists. They were welcomed by Pres. Reagan and coincidentally many were settled in Republican Nassau and Suffolk Counties and welcomed by the Diocese of Rockville Centre.. True, many now are illegal. And just by way of explanation when I said non criminal income I meant income not derived from activity such as drug dealing, extortion, kidnapping and contract killings.
