Forehead slapping ignorant...
Could you show me where in the bill it says that?
Gonna have to do a lot more explaining to convince me of the sweepingness of the tax plan. It seems to basically reduce rates by a couple of percent. And it has one self defeating feature. It takes yet more people of the tax rolls and converts them into solely tax consumers and their votes to freebie support. That was my quibble with Reagan’s tax reform. Better would be a true flat low tax on earned income and business. 9% with zero credits, deductions and exemptions would bring in more revenue and be less onerous and cost billions less to implement.
You want to know if the bill eliminates state and local tax deductions? Google: State and Local Tax Deduction and hit news. There are dozens of articles for you to read.
So I just google the bill number and it will come up?
Poor guy. He could as you said leave a great single term and with great personal pride in these concrete achievements, but for the socialist Republicans burning the house down around him.
Worse, is the inability to rid DC of the Bush/Clinton/Obama and UNIPARTY SWAMP that is seemingly permanently entrenched, and remains behind all the sabotage of the Trump agenda.
Trump has got to clean house. Lou Dobbs is on fire about this tonight, on his great show.
not sure how to post this but might someone put this in breaking news.
Steve Bannon is about to speak at the CAGOP dinner.. it’s being covered live by ABC.

Sorry, I don’t give a crap about your taxes (or mine which are probably higher and going higher). All I care about is a tax cut for corporations and investors. You can continue to be greedy but that doesn’t help MAGA.
To me; tax cuts are more important then the wall or obamacare.
you and your deductions. I want to send in a post card that says I win.
I heard this a while back that they wanted to eliminate the mortgage deduction. Its like the GOP wants to see the Democrats take power. It smells like Soros. No one in Washington has this level of cunning or boldness.
Perhaps. It also smells like Paul Ryan.
Nice. I won't stoop to your level and say the same thing about your taxes for corporations and stock market gamblers. You can continue to be greedy, but that doesn't help.
Glad you have the interests of the country at heart.
“Republicans are still hammering out their tax legislation after releasing an initial outline.”
Oh, like the Republicans “hammered out” repeal-and-replace to Obamacare from 2011 to 2016? I’m not holding my breath.
And if the deduction is so terrible, why does the bill allow big corporations and businesses to continue to claim their state and local taxes as a deduction, but not individuals?
Because K Street Lobbyists wrote the bill - that's why.
Then they ought to eliminate it for both. But then you would just switch to a new talking point. You did stumble upon a grain of truth in your last reply which is that the corporate income tax hits people like me. It did in the past, I was in the lowest bracket, 15%, and had no accountant to reduce my taxes. My corporation made a pittance and I was unable to reinvest the money in services to build up the corporation. Instead I had to pay most of the corporate income to me as income. If I didn't do that, my corporate marginal rate, with less than 100k income was 34%.
But that's obviously ok with you.
I would far rather see the personal income tax zeroed, partially replaced by tariffs, with corporate income tax reduced to be sufficient to pay for the military budget.
Maybe a special levy to pay for the border wall, and military deployment to the border.
Screw you. Complain to your state legislators!!!
So you are for middle class Americans paying much higher taxes to the Federal government.
Are you sure you are a conservative?
