WATCH: Trayvon Martin’s Mom Blasts NRA For ‘Murder Insurance’ [VIDEO]

The mother of Trayvon Martin criticized the National Rifle Association’s decision to offer people insurance if they fatally shoot someone in a new ad.

Sybrina Fulton, Martin’s mother, starred in a nearly two-minute clip from gun control group Guns Down, calling on people to take a stand against two companies backing the NRA’s “carry guard” insurance.

“They spend millions lobbying for laws that allow them to ‘shoot first’ and ‘stand their ground.’’But that just makes it easier to get away with murder,” Fulton says in the clip. “Now they’re selling insurance that covers the cost when a gun owner kills someone and claims self-defense.

The Carry Guard insurance, created by the NRA and backed by Chubb and Lockton Affinity, is a form of insurance for legal gun carriers in case they kill someone. The NRA offers four different plans: bronze, silver, gold and gold plus.

The highest level, Gold Plus, provides gun carriers with $1.5 million in civil protection and $250,000 in criminal defense.

“Tell them that if they keep offering ‘murder insurance’ they’ll never get your business,” Fulton adds in the video. George Zimmerman, the man who fatally shot her son, was cleared of second degree murder based off the state’s “State Your Ground” law.

A Chubb spokesperson noted that the company only offers insurance for lawful activity.

“Our insurance policies protect customers engaged in many kinds of economic, social and personal activity, all of which must be lawful. We respect the diverse views of our customers on many issues,” the statement read. “The Carry Guard insurance program underwritten by Westchester, a Chubb company, addresses the personal liability risks of lawfully possessing and carrying a firearm as well as lawful activity.

The NRA and Lockton did not return The Daily Caller News Foundation request for comment in time for publication.

What would be her stance then?

Her stance would still be that of a lying, money-grubbing two-legged cow.

I think of it as “Anti-anti-gunner” insurance.

Here's a corrected version of the quote, directly from the original Daily Caller article:

“Tell them that if they keep offering ‘murder insurance’ they’ll never get your business,” Fulton adds in the video. George Zimmerman, the man who fatally shot her son, was cleared of second degree murder based off the state’s “State (sic) Your Ground” law.

It appears from the original that the Daily Caller's author, not Ms. Fulton, made the remark about the FL SYG law. If so, that author really messed this up by calling the "Stand Your Ground" law the "State Your Ground" (my emphasis to show the error of using the word "State" instead of "Stand") law and then falsely saying that law was the basis of Zimmerman's defense when Zimmerman's defense was traditional self-defense and never involved the SYG law. The DC also really screwed up by closing down comments.
