Pakistani police say a Muslim cleric has been arrested over the murder of social media star Qandeel Baloch.

Ms Baloch, whose real name was Fauzia Azeem, was found strangled in her home in the city of Multan last year after posting racy images of herself on Facebook.>

Her brother, Muhammad Waseem, has confessed to strangling her after giving her a "tablet" to subdue her.

A senior police officer, Mohammad Fahad, said the cleric - Mufti Abdul Qavi - was arrested as he tried to leave Multan.

Some of his phone calls were traced to another brother of Ms Baloch around the time of her killing, police said.

Ms Baloch appeared in a music video with singer Aryan Khan

Selfie star???

Hmmm... Not so much.

I guess when you have most of your women covered under sheets, anyone looks good after they take them off.

I never heard of a “selfie star”. Is that just someone who gets famous on the Internet taking selfies with a phone?

Story makes no sense in regards to who killed her. It say’s her brother admitted to the killing, then went on for the rest of the story about how the Muslim clerics arrest. Then the story finishes about the indicted brother and a taxi driver friend.

Yes - assuming enough people want to see those selfies.

Argh. Well, okay...there must be some kind of audience for it. OTOH, I heard some comedian talk about explaining Kim Kardashian to a foreigner: “Well...she takes pictures of her bottom, and puts them into video and Internet posts, and people look at them...”

Add “nuclear armed” to your list. It’s one heckuva combination.
