New Senate poll gives Roy Moore biggest lead yet

A Senate poll commissioned by Raycom News Network indicated that Republican candidate Roy Moore has a double-digit lead over Democrat Doug Jones.

Moore's 11-point lead over Jones is his biggest yet in five polls conducted during the general election campaign and comes two days after a Fox News poll had the race tied.

Moore had 51 percent support among those polled to Jones' 40 percent. Nine percent were undecided.

The survey polled 3,000 likely voters on Monday and had a margin of error of 2-3 percent.

"I think the challenge for the Jones campaign is bigger than what these numbers show," Jonathan Gray, pollster for Mobile-based Strategy Research, the firm that conducted the poll, told Raycom. "Even if he were able to close the gap, how do you turn out Democrats in a state that hasn't had a viable Democratic Party in almost a dozen years?

>>I believe this poll more than the Fox poll ...<<

Until and after the Fox poll, Moore has had a commanding lead for quite some time.

But I don’t know what that means as we know polls are pretty pointless.

The elitist establishment views polls as a weapon used to manipulate public thought and vote. They tried it with DJT but thank God (literally) their tactic didn’t work. Hopefully they will fail again.

If this had been an election year, with a fair-sized turn-out expected....I might suggest that Moore would have some competition but yet win. The week before Xmas in a non-election year? There just won’t be that many people to show up and I think that favors Moore.

I agree.

With very few exceptions, the Wizards of Smart had Hillary winning in a landslide; for instance, there was that Princeton professor who gave her a modest 100% chance of victory. The NYT was much more cautious and gave her a mere 98% chance of winning. If the same approach is being used here, Jones would be well advised to retain what's left of his dignity and quietly withdraw from the race.

Shhhh! Don’t let the secret out! We want the democrats to blow $100 Million on the race thinking the actually stand a chance.

I will literally CRAWL across a FROZEN LANDSCAPE (which doesn’t happen in Alabama) to my polling place to vote for Roy Moore!
