Leeper hooks and etriers.

Bow and arrow to send a line over, haul them up with a vehicle.

i was thinking they would be thicker walls.

what about tunneling? I read some elaborate tunnels many feet down how been found, I’m sure new ones are being made since we will soon have a wall. al it takes is a willing home owner on each side of border to allow tunneling from one to the other.

they didn’t say whether we have to put the ‘good side’ towards the neighbor, like we have to do in our neighborhoods.... ;)

Maybe the better ones are not completed yet. I thought they would be bigger and more beautiful.

I don’t see the embedded antipersonnel mines or the spigots for the boiling oil.

Maybe the prototypes aren’t built to scale.

The good side will be the one that is decorated with pictures of Hillary, Madeline Albright, Helen Thomas, and Lena Dunham naked.

The report at the link said only one week remains for the contractors to complete their prototypes.

I hope that the other three finish in time. I am eager to see them, and want as much competition as possible.

30 ft tall is pretty big, i think.

i just wonder how easy it is to rig up rope ladders or such to this skinny walls and still get over them.

I just hope these can withstand cannon blast type stuff, truly impenetrable.

I read elsewhere some one mentioned a kill fence. first time you get zapped and fall down next touch much worse. I wonder what other surveillance or such would go with these skinny walls?

“what about tunneling?”

The best solution for tunneling is sensors, rather than more concrete.

It is not feasible to put thick concrete down 60 - 100 feet, and even if you did, without sensors to detect tunnels/tunneling activity, they could tunnel through that concrete as well as the soil.

Modern sensors can detect a lot - they can even distinguish a human footfall from a deer, as well as digging activity quite deep down. They are also much less expensive than burying more concrete.

The best solution is a wall and a fence (double barrier), with some exclusion area wired with sensors - at least buried vibration sensors, but they could also have lights and cameras in urban areas or around gates.

Another approach to countering tunnels, is to periodically patrol with ground penetrating radars, which can be towed behind vehicles driving along the length of the wall.
