My lib relatives who have money say they are totally OK with the govt taking it and redistributing it. They don’t trust people to do a good job with their own money so they trust the GOVT to do it. I just shake my head.
my lib former MIL was the same way. She was a teacher but inherited money and wanted the govt to raise taxes.
Here in NJ some libs want high property taxes, but only because it keeps the black and brown people miles away from their homes. Those same libs fight tooth and nail any time “affordable housing” is discussed within miles of them.
