Some observations on today's topics on the Sunday shows:

Obamacare and the subsidies: Trump is returning to the Constitution and separation of powers. A federal court in 2016 ruled that the subsidies to the insurance companies were illegal because the money was not approved by Congress. The Obama administration appealed the ruling and the judge allowed the payments to continue until the appeal was resolved. Trump withdrew the appeal and accepted the court's ruling that the payments were illegal and needed to be stopped. It is up to Congress to decide.

Decertification of the Iran Deal: The Iran deal was never submitted to the Senate as a treaty, which would require 67 votes for ratification. In a deal brokered by Corker, the Senate was given an opportunity thru a resolution to provide imput, i.e., if two thirds of the Senate rejected the deal, Obama might not go forward--still his decision. In effect, the Corker deal turned the role of the Senate upside down essentially only requiring 34 Senators to approve it. Naturally, the Dems went along with the deal with all the Reps voting no.

Trump has put the ball back into the hands of Congress where it belongs. They must decide within 60 days per their own legislation whether to put the sanctions against Iran back into effect. I suspect we will see a replay of the Obamacare charade. The Reps knew that the Iran Deal would go forward, so it was a safe vote to reject the deal. Now faced with a substantive decision on the deal, will they now refrain from putting the sanctions back into effect? IMO many of these RINOs support the Iran Deal and will find some excuse not to punish the Iranians.

Also, I notice today that the Dem and MSM talking points about the Iran Deal include the joint announcement by the UK, France, and Germany along with the EU stand by the deal. The Dems and pundits fail to mention that Russia and China are also cosigners of the deal and helped negotiate it. They have a vested interest in the deal with the Russians selling nuclear reactors to Iran and the Chinese buying their oil. The Europeans are in Iran in droves negotiating business deals. The other omission is that the countries in the region--Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Israel, et. al. praise the decertification and tougher stance towards Iran.

DACA:Trump ended the program, which was unconstitutional and sent it back to Congress where it belongs.

The bottom line is that Trump is restoring back the constitutional powers to Congress that Obama usurped. He is not ruling like a tyrant or dictator--just the opposite. It was Obama who overstepped his bounds with his pen and telephone. By doing so, he made it much easier for Trump to undo government by executive order.
