Wyoming is one of the safest red states we've got. Since becoming a state in 1890, they've only gone Democrat once - in 1952. In 2016, Trump won by 46%, his largest margin of victory in any state. Imagine, then, the surprise of parents when their high schoolers were given a quiz on the book Animal Farm with a strange multiple-choice option. The question asked why a particular character fired a gun, and one of the multiple choice options for the answer was "he was shooting at Trump."
Parents at the Jackson Hole high school complained to officials at the Teton School District and the quiz was taken down. "I had to read it two times," parent Jim McCollum said, The Jackson Hole News & Guide reports. "I was like, 'Are you kidding me?'" McCollum, who voted for Trump, said this is about respect for the office. "It was so inappropriate to show a name of a sitting president in that question," McCollum said. "To me, that is so wrong in light of the situation in our country and the divisiveness and all."
McCollum said that his son was upset by the question from a teacher he admired. "He told me, 'Dad, they crapped on everything I believe in.'" He went on to say, ""He thinks she's a terrific person, a nice person. He was really upset that she would do that. He was really disappointed." The teacher, Carin Aufderheide, told the Jackson Hole Daily that she did not write the question, but takes responsibility for having it on the test. “While I did not write the quiz questions and answers, it was my responsibility to proofread it; had I done so I can assure you I would not have distributed the quiz without first changing the offensive answer.” Should that be true, one has to wonder where on earth she found a quiz with such an offensive answer and what other assassination fare they sell as curriculum.
Officials have said that they "take seriously threats of any kind, regardless of the intent. We apologize to the students, families and community for this incident and will be addressing the issue with personnel." Neither the school nor district will confirm if the teacher faces any disciplinary action, but sources told local news source KOTATV that she was not at school following the incident. It seems worth mentioning that Teton County is the only county in Wyoming that voted for Hillary Clinton.

Most of those in these public school/academia, are clearly evil and or mentally ill. We are seeing stories like this out of academia on a daily basis now.

If someone had raised the issue concering Obama, I would have objected strenuously.
We saw the deification of John F. Kennedy after his assignation. I NEVER EVER want a guy like Obama to get the sympathy vote from this nation, for the rest of my and my chidlren’s and my grandchilren’s lives. Same with Bill Clinton.

They did, however, go for Lyndon Johnson (Democratic) in 1964.

Wyoming is conservative overall, but Jackson is a liberal resort town enclave... more of a Vail or Aspen plopped down in a conservative state. Draws much of its population from out of state.
