The Whigs were pretty much finished by 1858 because they couldn’t change to reflect the realities of the mid-19th century. Lincoln was a Whig.
The critters each represent a small part of the country.
A majority of Americans all voted for President Trump.

Like the NFL’s Goodell needing over a year to greet reality, and Target and JCPenny’s CEOS waiting until share prices were tanking, if the GOP-e waits much longer they’re toast too.
They can continue to represent special interests and “extend hands across the aisle” but we want a sane budget, tax reform, jobs, a secure border, defenestration of a bloated, corrupt federal shadow government, as well as many other things.
If they can’t get on the stick, they can plan on fleeing to their pals on K street, until those matters are addressed.

The president on TV now saying he will refuse to recertify Iran agreement and kicking it over to Congress. Compare and contrast with Barack Insane Obama, who is not a muslim, giving Iran billions.

I propose it’s about time for the rise of a new third party. One that could take that middle ground and relegate the Democrats to the useless territory they are aiming for and support regular Americans.

Currently, I’m working with the Veterans Party of America. They are good, and despite starting about a year and a half before the election, ignored by the press and on a shoestring budget and trying to overcome the massive hurdles of ballot access across the country, were able to get on the ballot in 7 states, get write-in access on 19 others and over 250,000 votes for President.

If you’re interested, look them up. Give it a try. Look at their platform. Even if you don’t like it, and decide to stick with the R’s, knowing there’s a place for those Dems who won’t switch to Republican, but can’t stay Dem, should give you some comfort.
