Still, that 72 minute delay in shutting the shooter down is completely inexplicable!

My uncle worked in a large hotel. He said management will ALWAYS opt for PR damage control over guest safety. Said if anything goes down get an outside line and call the police or fire department yourself, cause you can’t rely on them to do it.

The disclosure means there was a delay of some six minutes in summoning police to the scene as the gunman began firing

This actually doesn't tell us much -- the "some six minutes" part is an assumption based on the current timeline. It could be less than six minutes, but it may be more than six minutes. We need to know the actual time the call was made to the police by Mandalay Bay.

I'd also like to know when the first call was made to 911 about the shooting, if it wasn't from Mandalay Bay.

When oh when will we have sensible Kreskin control????

If only Kreskin had been working there it all could have been prevented!

How dare the hotel wait till after the shooting began to phone for help!

“didn’t notify police that gunshots had been fired inside the tower until after a gunman opened fire on the crowd “

Well, how could they report it BEFORE he opened fire? Jeez?

So was THE HOTEL trying to keep it under wraps until the shooting out the windows started?

Were they aware that a major arms buy was going down? The hotel owner IS a muzzie...

And when things went bad either the guy OR ??? started shooting out the window.

And stopped and escaped after shooting the arms dealer?

Where is hotel video? they have video EVERYWHERE!

The LVPD SWAT accomplished diddly-squat in the Vegas Massacre. Diddly-squat.

The disclosure means there was a delay of some six minutes in summoning police to the scene as the gunman began firing...apparently the shooting of one of their maintenance men in the hallway of one of their floors of rooms was a routine occurrence not to be of concern at the Mandalay Bay......

"A U.S. official says the Mandalay Bay hotel casino didn't notify police that gunshots had been fired inside the tower until after a gunman opened fire ..."

Is this bad journalism, or am I missing something? Was the casino supposed to report that shots had been fired before the shots had been fired? The shots inside probably happened moments before the shots were fired outside.

Sounds like Mandalay Bay operates like the Continental. They simply called the room on the 32'nd floor with a noise complaint and wanted to know if the occupant wished to make dinner reservations and for how many? What other establishment would allow 200 rounds to decorate the hallways and wound some of the staff without a call for outside help? Those gold coins buy a lot of silence.

The casino will not be able to use the John Wick defense.

“The official, who was briefed by law enforcement, wasn’t authorized to discuss the matter publicly and spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity”

Enough said

More evidence that this was an FBI sting. If they knew that the Feds were already on the 32nd floor, why call the cops?

That only killed a relative handful of people who might have survived, so no problem.
