The political climate over in Africa has always sucked.
Mostly due to islam’s influence, warlords, and goofy tribal politics.

Really? Where I live in S.E. Michigan, the zebra mussel infestation ultimately cleaned up Lake St. Clair and made it clearer than ever before. As with every initial infestation, nature took its course. The mussel population declined and they became another food source for fish such as the perch.........
It's easy to blame, for example Africa, on warlords, islam, or goofy tribal politics. But those things are, in the big picture, only a reflection of the actual human beings within those cultures.
Human beings create and allow all of those things to exist. Why is the African American "community" a failure. Why is Mexico a failure, or any failed culture for that matter. Because the people have not made it a success. Blaming the institutions that they themselves have created for their failure is a losing argument.
The unspeakable fact is, Africa is a failure because Africans themselves have some flaw that precludes them from succeeding. We can argue about what those flaws may be, but the fact remains. Science would suggest that the failure of the African American community bolsters this argument.
All peoples have ugliness in their history. Slavery, oppression, etc. The ability to evolve and advance is stronger in some peoples.
That is my theory on why Africa is a backward and failed civilization. The same theory applies to Arabs.
Or maybe it's climate change. What do I know?
I have a family member who is a senior RN at a hospital. She works with whites, American blacks, Latinos and Asian nurses, but in recent years has been working with a bunch of Kenyan and Nigerian legal immigrants [all of whom have their citizenship now.] Out of all of them she has found the African immigrant nurses to be the best educated about their field, and they are the most attentive to their patients, never slacking off and dumping things into the next nurse’s lap as so many others do, and aren’t arrogant- they’re willing to clean up messes rather than leave them for the cleaning crew. Out of all of them, their English is excellent and their math skills are as well. They’re frugal, religious and reliable, and they’re always working like crazy. Since they lack the resentment of American blacks and no one has to worry about saying anything un-pc, they are a hoot to work around.
They don’t have screwed up home life as many Americans do. They went to a lot of expense and trouble to get here and don’t like illegal immigrants skipping in line and getting special privileges. And they are saving their earnings to help their younger siblings make it too, some day. They were miffed the past few years because in their view Obama was letting in the very people that back in their countries are the problem- muslims.
If there was something in African DNA they would not be doing so well here. They’re doing well here because their English is excellent, enabling them to assimilate, and they can find opportunity here. Liberals have not found a way to corrupted them, not yet.... no doubt the liberals will try to corrupt their kids when they enter school here, but a couple of the nurses send their kids BACK to their home countries for school because the schools are so bad here.
That the are doing well is obvious since American blacks are getting jealous of it and perhaps more jealous of their independence. The academic success of immigrants from Kenya and Nigeria is making the attitude problems and laziness of others abundantly clear.
I didn't say it was a DNA thing. It's a cultural thing. We, as Americans have been raised with certain belief systems cultivated over thousands of years. The same holds true for peoples of failed cultures.
The Africans you describe have decided to adopt the attitudes that allow for success and abandon the prevalent attitude of their home culture. Good for them. We have a population of "African Americans" that are too engulfed by rage, revenge, hate, and ignorance to adopt those attitudes.
Their reaction to historical racism (slavery, Jim Crow, etc.) is an ingrained element of their culture, just as all American's attitudes were shaped by historical events.
Nothing personal against those people, but it's just fact. The sooner people accept the truth, the sooner those people can join us in modernity.
