I believe that “puberty blockers” were originally developed for severely handicapped children. I had a client with an autistic daughter. She could not function. This, he hoped, would keep her safer.
Puberty blockers wee touted as such only a few years ago. They were also aimed at delaying puberty in precocious children who show signs of sexual development at very young ages, down to less than a year old. I think some drug addictions are complicit.
