jammed fire door
..planned escape exit?
More likely blocking an ingress point for SWAT.
Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Most likely blocking the escape route for the patsy
more dots and not enough lines connecting the dots....
Which agency retrieved the bullets that zinged past his head?
Surely, these bullets left an impact on the wall.
LVPD and FBI.....fumbling along.
There's no way the police were going to arrive, move up 32 floors and enter that room stopping the shooting spree.
00:30 The maintenance guy composes and calls the switchboard.
01:00 The switchboard checks with a supervisor to respond properly.
02:30 The call goes out to the police.
03:00 The police dispatch offers to the scene.
06:00 The police begin arriving at the hotel.
09:00 The police get equipment ready as other officers arrive and they enter the hotel.
10:00 The police are directed to a stairwell.
15:00 The police arrive at the 32nd floor.
15:00 The police hear automatic gunfire.
17:00 They use a card to enter the room.
17:00 An instantaneous firefight ensues.
20:00 Many officers are shot and the gunman is neutralized * **
* This 20:00 minute mark may wind up being a 45 minutes mark before it is completed.
** At best, these guys would be entering the room after the man already ended his shooting spree.
The insanity this incident has brought out into the open seems to know no bounds.
That highlighted text above evidences no conception of reality.
I’m with you on this. Criticizing police for not responding within 15 minutes is wrong. Your timeline is fair ... one thing I’d add is that the police would be moving very slowly and deliberately as they approached an active shooter.
OK, that sounds reasonable.
Good point.
I agree that officers would be working very methodically.
This substantiate the LEO claim Campos was shot in a hail of 200 rounds, a full six minutes before the shooter opened up on the crowd.
At what time did Mandalay Bay notify LVMPD?
MGM is screwed. Likely out of business.
Good point..........!
“Not even Close, Janet Reno Killed 80 Women and CHildren in WACO.”
Yeah, but she didn’t shoot them.
She burned them all alive.
Curious. I had read elsewhere that Saudi's owned the suite on the 33rd floor directly above.
Nice escape?
I'm posting below an analysis of all the shots heard from combining various videos that someone posted on the internet.
There was a lull of 1:48 when there was no shooting after the shooter had shot those four 100-rd sets.
I would guess he was expecting to have cops show up soon and he had stopped shooting and was finishing rigging a wall mount for a gun or a camera inside, so that if SWAT got into 135 through the doors he could retreat to 134 and see them or shoot at them remotely. That was the drilling sound.
So under this scenario, maybe the sets of 6, 6, 8 within a total of 8 seconds that ended the lull were when he saw Campos and shot through the door with a .308 and a 25-round mag.
Then there is another pause of 40 seconds. Campos is hiding in the alcove with a leg wound. During this pause Schuck shows up, comes down the hall, Campos yells holmes, take cover! and then the shooter unloads with a second 25-round mag shooting 23 shots through the door. The next 13 shots may be through the door as well.
At no time was the door to the shooter's suite open, he saw all this through the camera and saw Campos coming down the hall as took a break from shooting out the window to finish drilling something, and Campos had heard the drilling from down the hall.
Then the shooter goes back to shooting out the window, after another six minutes, cops show up at the elevator bank.
So the summary is that the shooter first shot single rounds at the fuel tanks. Then he shot 100-rd mag dumps out the window at the crowd. Then he shot a few sets of shots down the hall. Then he went back to dumping 100-rd mags out the window at the crowd. Each 100-rd mag dump is a different rifle, he doesn't reload, so he uses up nine of the twelve bump-stock rifles. Maybe the other three jammed. At the end, he is using different rifles with less than 100-rd mags or maybe the very final dump is part of a 100-rd mag. The two final single shots are him testing his revolver and then shooting himself in the chest.
So basically MGM prefers the old timeline because their lawyers want to avoid the appearance that any of them KNEW of a shooter BEFORE the concert crowd shooting began.
That’s it, I guess.
And that, in addition to the immigration narrative, is why they were all so effusive about “how the security guard’s selfless actions after the concern shooting so dramatically shortened the shooting duration.”
I believe if you check the pictures, the food service cart was in front of the smaller room (32105). The entrance to the suite (32104) had a double door and the bottom part of the left door (when facing the suite) is where all the bullet holes were found.... see the diagram in Post 13. This suggests that Paddock was in a prone shooting position when he shot the security guard and his shots would have been going down the hallway toward the elevator. What not known is where exactly Schuck was when he was referring to "started to go to the door to my left." If he was coming on to the hallway from some point on the right side of the hallway (when looking down the hallway from the suite toward the elevator, then his statement makes sense.
First, it was a door ajar. Now, it’s a jammed door. It’s an ever changing story.
The clips showing the windows knocked out suggest he had a corner suite, so maybe the hallway was perpendicular.
This is infuriatingly confusing. Am I to believe that Paddock was in the hallway as he fired at Schuck? I mean, that’s what we’ve got to believe since “rounds started coming down the hallway”, right?

Paddock had set up cameras outside the hotel room.
“if Paddock’s door was perpendicular to the hallway.”
In the schematics I’ve seen, the door to the main part of the suite was smack-dab at the end of the hall. If a camera had been placed in the peep hole, and I read that it had been, he could’ve seen the entire long hallway.
There was another door to the suite — a bedroom in it — that was on an adjacent wall, and across that hallway was a stairwell.
It is weird how there was no mention of Schuck for the week following the shooting. Now that the story about the security guard has changed, we hear about another person on the scene right around the time of the shooting.
I think that the stairwell plays an important role in this tale. I want to know if it provides access to the Four Seasons that sits on top of the Mandalay Bay hotel.
Do you have a bigger picture that would show where the main elevator bank, the service elevator and the stairwell would be?
