Donald Trump set to come to the UK next year [not allowed state visit]

Trump visit to UK downgraded to 'working visit' amid threats of mass protests

Donald Trump is set to visit Britain early in 2018 - but for a stripped-down trip that will not include staying with the Queen.

Diplomats are discussing plans for a “working visit” by the US president that will be shorn of the pomp and flummery of a full-blown State Visit.

And instead of a red carpet event to showcase the special relationship, it is likely to form part of a tour of several countries by Mr Trump.

The downgrading of Mr Trump’s first trip as President to the UK follows the huge controversy when Theresa May tried to steal a march on other world leaders by offering a State Visit as guest of the Queen that was intended to take place this summer, breaching a convention that the honour is usually reserved for a president’s second term.

There were threats of boycotts and mass protests when the VIP treatment was announced - with Commons Speaker John Bercow declaring that the President would not be allowed to address the House of Commons.

I say fook ‘em
Trump should take a pass on this disrespectful treatment
He is the President of the US
He is not a man alone. He is us
He won Hillary lost
Everyone but everyone needs to man up and move on

The Brits will change their minds when Buckigham Palace becomes a mosque.

“the honour is usually reserved for a president’s second term.”

so Trump is gonna have usual first visit.

No story here except their trying to create one.

You are correct. This is a slap at the Prime Minister, not the President. No reason to be defensive over normal British politics.

I travelled to France especially when Armstrong “won” those TDF trophies. Mostly out in the countryside like Toulouse and Normandie and they always treat Americans well, based on my experience. Paris? ummm, that’s another thing. I didn;t see Paris exactly but looked like Saudi Arabia with their stupid prayer mats in the middle of the street.

A Trump + Farage pro-brexit rally would attract millions of Brits!

Don’t write off the Uk completely.
With Brexit they struck a decisive blow to the globalist order.

I don’t believe Trump would have been elected without Brexit.

Rabid foaming at the mouth Imams are welcome but POTUS is not? Really? I won't visit Britain until POTUS get the appropriate welcome. The Queen is disappointing me. Shame.

I am watching World War 2 in Color and the Brits really were exceptional fighters who obviously loves their country and their countrymen. It really is a shame what has happened to them. Can it be reversed? It would take another Margaret Thatcher who is more Thatcheresque than the Iron Lady herself.

Or another Winston Churchill...

If anything was learned from the behavior of San Juan’s Mayor, is that you don’t deal with parts of the world that side with Liberals. There’s no need to have to go there.

Donald Trump set to come to the UK next year [not allowed state visit]

Teresa May's days are numbered as the P.M. of Britain.

Teresa May is a big joke and starting to be a piece of work or maybe she was already there.

I really feel sorry for the Brits having a leader so inept as Teresa May.

First Micheal Savage was not allowed to speak in Britain and now President Trump who is a great speaker on how they can rebuild their great values, their great Christian values, and their prosperity.

I agree that they need to get rid of a lot of the Mooselimbs that are not working and give them a boot our of Britain and back to their homelands.

Our fabulous Fake News MSM does not even want to write anything objectively on this matter.

Of course, they never write anything objectively since "Journalism is Dead in this country."
