People have a hard time thinking 4th-dimensionally when it comes to the political realm. They assume that inside-the-beltway politicians have an inner core, when in actuality they are - with a very few exceptions - self-serving bastards. When they see their buds getting blown away (politically speaking), they will switch to the winning side faster than a desert Arab in an intervillage battle.
It will take a very long time to right this ship of state, and we need to get rid of these UniParty GOP mountebanks as best we can. Not all will be dispatched right away, but we can at least burn the butts of the hangers on, who, while they won’t actually see the light, will ease off on the MAGA fighting.
