Thanks for posting.

My heart breaks thinking of the people and animals there.

We live in Vallejo and smelled smoke all weekend.

It got really bad on Sunday night.

I knew there was a fire somewhere but we don’t watch the news.

I thought I saw lightning a couple of times last night.

The smoke was bad and there were high winds that were very hot.

I felt like something really big and awful was happening and closed up the house.

This morning the sky was red, the smoke is awful and there are ashes floating all over the place.

My mother lives in Vallejo.

I know that’s several miles from Sonoma County, and she’s not in any danger from the fire, but the smoke is pretty noxious also. I have other family much closer to the fires.

I hope that none of your family is in harm’s way.

Why did several fires start at the same time?
