Vice President Mike Pence walked out on his home-state Indianapolis Colts Sunday when members of the opposing team kneeled for the national anthem, but a report that Colin Kaepernick, the player who started it all, will stand if given another shot in the NFL was quickly dialed back.
"I left today's Colts game because @POTUS and I will not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our Flag, or our National Anthem," Pence tweeted.

Some people are calling this a PR STUNT.

Basically the anti-American members of the political, entertainment and media elite!
Ok so how is it any more of a pr stunt than football players kneeling for our anthem?
"I asked @VP Pence to leave stadium if any players kneeled, disrespecting our country. I am proud of him and @SecondLady Karen."
There were 23 San Francisco 49ers who kneeled during the National Anthem.
From some news report, President Trump that he and VP Mike Pence will not attend functions that disrespect our flag and country (such as the National Anthem protests).
I believe I heard that on NBCnews or CBSnews.
It is a PR stunt by players. You don’t think they give the slightest care about their lesser contemporaries, do you? I don’t foresee a single one signing over their paycheck to bring anyone out of the hood.
In the liberal world, a PR stunt in favor of some liberal cause is ok. But let anyone else do anything which they perceive as a PR stunt, and they are outraged!!!
I stand with Trump/Pence on this.
This is not a small deal.
And gets better each time!
It is a question for me and Trump/Pence and others to respect our country, our flag, those who gave their lives for this country, etc...
I do not think that any TRUE PATRIOT would consider this a PR STUNT.
WARNING:
THIS IS NOT SATIRE.
From David Brock’s propaganda site, and VERY FEW in the media will dare to go against this approved narrative:
Pence tries desperate stunt to revive racist NFL feud to distract from humiliating week

“It is a PR stunt by players”
Yup...
I notice they ARE NOT protesting the Cops with GUNS assigned to keep the crowd from taking their stuff.
THOSE Cops are allowed.
No it doesn't. Every BOYCOTT THE NFL! thread still have over 100 replies and the same FReepers responding vowing to boycott the NFL. All you're doing is engaging in circular arguments.
All NFL threads should be pulled by the Mods then, and we'll see how much FReepers "hate" the NFL.
Where do we find people like this? The NFL juvenile are a dime a dozen...they are pathetic!
All NFL threads should be pulled by the Mods then, and we'll see how much FReepers "hate" the NFL.
And yet, they don't.
You seem obsessed with this notion. I wonder why?
they ARE NOT protesting the Cops with GUNS assigned to keep the crowd from taking their stuff.
= = = = = = = = = = =
BUT that is just while they are on ‘the clock’
Of course, the age old ‘racist’ question
How many of the ‘serfs’(cops) did the ‘gentry’(millionaire players) take home for a barbecue etc with them.
(That is the question that gets asked of ALL whites that hire Blacks)
Of course, Vice President Mike Pence is not a Marxist. Thank you, Vice President Mike Pence, for your steadfast patriotism. God bless and protect your family and loved ones, this nation and the whole world. Amen.
Obsessed with what. If you hate the NFL then just boycott them then and be done with it. Instead of continuously bitching about them and posting clips of people burning jerseys on Twitter or something.
