Holy God,
You have set Your glory above the heavens! When we consider the vastness of all You have created, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained . . . then we stand in awe of You, Lord God. In these days when dissent dominates and offenses are quickly taken, we pray that You would help us to guard our hearts and minds. Help us to keep our focus on whatsoever things are true, honest, just, pure and lovely. May we focus on good reports and praise to You so that our faith does not fail.
We confess, Lord, that our nation has sinned against You. We confess that the current level of discourse in America is but one indication of how far we have moved from Your will. We ask Your forgiveness, Lord, and we ask for the restoration of this once great land.
Our military men and women and our first responders need You, and they need the prayer support of those whom they represent and defend. Help these courageous ones, Lord, and keep them strong in Your power and might. May Christ dwell in each of their hearts by faith and may they be rooted and grounded in Your love. Thank You for all who daily stand in harm’s way to defend the people of this nation. Please reward them for their unselfish efforts.
Father, may our President’s love for You grow greater each day and may he trust in You to guide him as he takes bold new steps. We confess that You strengthen him, You help him, and You uphold him with Your righteous right hand. Help him to keep his focus on You and may he turn a deaf ear to the hate-filled rhetoric and criticism which have become far too common. Help him to seek Your approval above all else. May Your angels continue to surround him.
Lord, we confess that You are at work in helping the truth to be revealed about the Las Vegas attack. Thank You for Your healing and Your defense of all those who survived this horrible event. Reward those whose acts of bravery will be remembered. Lord, You are the One Who never leaves us nor forsakes us, even in the midst of such trouble. Each new day presents many opportunities for every one of us to honor You, magnify You, and love You. Help us to put away worthless wastes of our time, and to spend our days in meaningful service and fellowship with You. We have but one life to live on this earth, Lord, and we ask You to help us in whatever we do in word or deed, to do it all for Your glory. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Praying with you each and every day. Relying on the Scriptural promises and praying protection on our President, his family, his staff and all those across the world who are Christians. Evil is never satisfied until all good is consumed. Our Creator will deal with that and give us strength during this very dark time.
