The Associated Press published a piece today highlighting Senator Jeff Flake's free fall in the polls in Arizona's tense Republican primary contest. Flake has seen dwindling support ever since he published his anti-Trump book, Conscience of a Conservative.
That book criticized the Republican party for not standing up to then candidate Donald Trump during the 2016 GOP presidential primary. In the book, he says Trump does not have the conservative accolades nor character needed to run the Republican party. In essence, Flake argued that the Republican party "lost its way" by electing Trump.
The conservative voters of Arizona, however, disagree.
In August, more Republican voters said they would vote for Ward over Flake if the primary were held that day by 42.5% to 28.2%.
The AP piece notes the difficulty that Flake is having in Arizona.

It’s partially true, I guess. If Trump were a thorough Republican he’d go along with Congress to get along, giving us the same empty results of previous Republican presidents.
But we didn’t elect Trump for his bona fides. And don’t expect them.

Flake set himself up to fail.. the GOPe/uniparty just refuse to face reality. Trump won, you didn’t, and Trump didn’t win because he was Trump, he won because he was advocating things folks believed in.
Get on board or get run over.... We are witnessing a bloodless revolution in this country and the powers that be are too stupid or to scared to see it. If they keep denying it the next step won’t be bloodless.
Strange, gone... Corker gone... Shea Porter gone... Flake likely gone and others to follow. The people have awoken and they are pissed. You think you have an R by your name that makes you safe, you are a fool.
Flake did not even receive a majority vote in 2012. In the end he had the Tea Party come to his rescue. That wont happen this time. He can not win the primary and that is a good thing. Drain the swamp!
