Got to chat with Don in 2011, very gracious man with a lively Irish wit. He will be sorely missed. RIP SSGT Malarkey, many thanks for your service!

I just watch BOB a month ago and Malarkey saw everything and been in every battle since the beginning. In the end, it was like he had the life sucked out of him when he became NCO.

Your image from “kickasstorrents” won’t display, my malwarebytes blocked it. (Just in case anyone else was getting a warning, it’s not a prob with the image, just reacting to the site address)

Rest in your well earned peace, Sarge! The unit is getting back together where war and suffering are unknown!

And when he dies the soldier will to St. Peter tell:
“Another soldier reporting for duty, sir; I’ve served my time in Hell.”
Rest In Peace, Hero.

Right on the heels of the Battle of the Bulge the Germans launched their last great offensive, Operation Northwind, in the Vosges and Alsatian plain to south and east of the Bulge.
Hitler’s goal was to destroy the US 7th Army, which was stretched thin over a huge front line. Units from the 3rd Army that had just defended Bastogne were rushed into the battle, with as many as half ending up as casualties.
