Although true that much of the iPhone is done overseas, there are many components of the iPhone already done here in the USA. Corning is a major supplier of the glass. Many of the chips in the iPhone are designed and made here in the USA. Apple has nearly two-thirds of their worldwide employees working here in the USA. Can't be said of other smart phone makers. Foxconn building here will increase the USA-content of iPhones, way beyond other popular smart phones.
