The hidden donors to a prominent anti-Trump "resistance" organization are revealed in unredacted tax forms obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

The Center for Community Change, a Washington, D.C.-based 501 (c)(3) progressive community organizing group that does not reveal its donors, has been involved in direct action against President Donald Trump and Republicans before and after the November elections. The organization's members sit on the boards of other prominent liberal activist groups.

The Center for Community Change's largest contribution was $3,000,000 from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, which was initially created by Will Kellogg, the food manufacturer and founder of Kellogg Company. The Ford Foundation, which was first created by the founders of the Ford Motor Company, added a $2,350,000 donation. The Open Society Foundation, a foundation run by liberal billionaire mega-donor George Soros, gave $1,750,000 to the Center for Community Change.

Other donors to the organization include the California Endowment, which gave $524,500; the Marquerite Casey Foundation, which gave $515,000; Fidelity Charitable Gift, which donated $505,100; and the National Immigration Law Center, which gave $316,000.

I think I just felt Henry Ford and Will Kellogg turning in their graves. I doubt very seriously if either man would have approved of what is being done by the foundations named after them.

i'd guess most of them are "charitable" organizations so it's prolly all a tax write off, so guess that means all of it

As a tax-exempt nonprofit, the Center for Community Change received tens of millions from other nonprofits. For example, the Kellogg Foundation is a nonprofit.

The Center for Community Change is described as a ‘progressive community organizing group’ that takes direct action against Trump and republicans.

Nonprofit tax-exempt Center for Community Change taking direct action against Trump, receiving tens of millions from other ‘nonprofits’.

What is wrong with this picture?

It’s just business as usual for these types. Most of these foundations appear to be a way to launder money in the guise of phoney do-gooderism.

I have owned Ford vehicles for many, many years and have two of them in my garage right now. I also have the option of buying ANY brand vehicle I choose. Guess “Ford” will now be removed from my list.

Only weird if donations go both ways. A charitable foundation may not run any programs itself but just donates money to non-profits that do run programs. That would be typical.

The Ford Foundation is not at all connected to the auto company. I don’t even think the FF is even connected to anyone in the Ford family anymore.

None of these political organizations should be tax exempt. On either side. They are not charities.

Ford and Ford Foundation are completely separate, completely unrelated except that Henry Ford set it up the foundation long ago and it was then taken over by progressives decades ago.

Ford Foundation = nothing to do with Ford Motor Company.

What’s in a name? Could just as well change name of Ford Foundation to ‘Global Advocates for Communism’.

Keep your Fords but write a letter of protest to your Congress critter that the Ford Foundation, as a tax-exempt nonprofit, should not be donating to political community organizing groups.
