It is fun. A bit far for me to go but I have gone a few times. Go to YouTube and search: ‘Leavenworth Wa./Octoberfest’ (Or ‘Leavenworth Wa./Christmas Lighting Ceremony’ for another big town month long party). Quite a few good videos of each. If you are not familiar with the town of Leavenworth I think you will enjoy the videos and how the city has transformed itself and it’s buildings, (beginning in 1966 iirc),into a Bravarian style/looking town.
I didn’t realize they’d done that. I know the weather up there is very much like Germany...ie, rainy!...but it would be cool to see a town in the Bavarian style!

Rainy on the West side of the Cascade mountains yes but not on the East side near as much. Leavenworth is basically at the foot of the Cascade range’s Eastern side in central Wa. If you want you can also go to google Earth, search to Leavenworth Wa., and use their ‘Street View’ app and you can basically ‘walk’ around the town from ground level. Give it a try besides the vids.
Oh, that would be fun to see it on Google Earth! I’ll have to try that tomorrow, when I’m not so sleepy. :)
