I’m not sure this is the case. I don’t believe Catalonia has any intention of leaving EU. It may be more like Scotland, breaking with the England but remaining within EU. I could be wrong of course...

A couple of years ago, I picked up a follower in Catalonia on my Twitter account. Had some conversations with him, but never about anything except the move toward independence of Spain. They have long had that goal.

They have befriended the Kurds too. That connection is not new, it has been in place a while. Spain also has the Basque region that also wants independence.

You could be right, but I don’t think they will sign on to the huge ME immigrant thing.
