"Energy Secretary Rick Perry on Friday called on the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to act within 60 days to adopt rules raising payments to power plants that are considered more resilient. He maintained that a diverse mix of energy sources would strengthen the power grid, especially during natural disasters, by ensuring an adequate supply of backup power. The decline of traditional sources of power, on the other hand, would undermine reliability.
Good! Comrade dictator obama's was the most posterious energy policy ever inflicted upon a nation.

I have to wonder if my elec. company, AZ Public Service will raise rates again. Of course, the AZ Corporation Commission approves the rates and they are corrupt.

Would that be the same as asinine energy policy?

Yes, from a party of the ass persuasion.

Wind and and solar can be supplemental energy sources only. News flash to greenies: the sun doesn’t always shine and the wind doesn’t always blow. Coal is consistent and today’s energy plants are far and away cleaner and more efficient than they were even 10 years ago.

More good news - won’t stop the concern trolls from trying to find ways to hurt Trump but they may eventually move over to the correct leftist sites and FReeload off them....

Almost correct. If regulations are giving solar and wind an advantage over coal and nuclear, the solution is not to add new mandates and subsidies for coal and nuclear, but to remove existing mandates and subsidies for solar and wind.

This is a flawed idea also. The government should not be subsidizing any form of electrical generation. Let the market determine what should be used.

Actually, in large measure that is precisely what is being done. The government greenie incentives and mandates and subsidies are being removed to allow the market to work.

The real problem is the electric distribution system. We have no ‘spares’ of the high kV transformers that have to be shipped by rail due to their size. Each one takes months to build.
May be time to consider a PEM water heater / power generator from natural gas instead. Heat from fuel cell electric generation goes to water; electricity into home wiring as necessary; excess sold to grid (if attached).

11 cents for residential isn’t particularly cheap.

It is sad that a middle-aged woman with only a high school education was able to figure this out and the so-called ‘best amd brightest’ of the Obungo regime could not, or did not want to figure it out. Pathetic.
