Its been a rule as long as Ive been involved with the league, said Adam Silver, the NBAs commissioner, about standing for the playing of the national anthem, The Associated Press reported. And my expectation is that our players will continue to stand for the anthem.

He did not say they would be fired...when does basketball start??
At least he has the balls to make a definitive decision.
Obviously a hater.
Until the first one takes a knee.
The NFL still needs to have their special monopoly exemption revoked.
I used to be a b-baller like you . . . until I took the anthem on my knee.
Just fine them, heavily.
Instead of a fixed amount, fine them a percentage of their Contracted Salary. That way the Stars will feel it as much as the new guys.
Comply or you receive a firmly worded text?
Just don’t make the words too long KNeeFL.
The law was already laid down, it’s been in their CBA since the 90s.
If the league and owners truly respect the flag and anthem how about something like this:
"If you don't properly respect the flag and anthem, you will immediately be escorted from the court and not permitted to return to the arena."
Unlike the NFL, I believe the NBA has written the rules about the national anthem into the league’s agreement with the players union.
“when does basketball start??”
Did it ever stop! Living near the cry baby Warriors, local tv constantly had some Warriors on tv.
Since we cut our cable in June, that is no longer a problem.
Does that mean stand and lock arms or some stupid shit like that?
Let’s see what he does when lebron takes a knee....cause you know it’s going to happen.
This from the same guy who approved of a man being run out of the league based on a private conversation.
The NBA is stupid, too.
The NFL is catching up.
>> He did not say they would be fired.
Ejected would be a good start.
yep. then the butt kissing of lebron will begin. he will play the race card. and suddenly it’ll all be part of a ‘unity” message.
Silver got scared into making this decision.
But let us not forget he was among the most vocal critics of NC tranny bathroom law and pulled the All Star Game out of Charlotte.
He obviously believed that his position as supervisor of grown men bouncing a ball entitled him to have a greater voice than a state governor, legislature and 10 million other people in a sovereign state.
Silver has balls! Goodell has a pu..... none!
