CBS: The preliminary number for THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL at 3.4 looks bad compared to last year’s final 6.1 rating for the parallel week, but it’s more in line with the CBS premiere game in 2016, which had an early 3.8.
Bets on what they’ll blame the drop on that isn’t their own conduct? :P
I think it will be blamed on all of the POC Americans that tuned out in support of the players’ protest.

Marginal players have the most to lose. Reluctantly they kneel even though they support Kapernick. The owners(billionaires) can take charge by canceling the playoffs. They’ll still be billionaires and the players will still get their game checks. I’d cancel the final 2 games of the regular season and not pay the salaries until a judge says so. Do it under the guise of allowing the players to ‘spend more time with their families.’ A whole off-season to figure out what’s next. Like the O.J. trial.
Probably paid protesters. That’s all they could assemble on short notice.
