Is Sen. Wicker disliked that much in MS? I’m not that familiar with
him but he’s been in the MS elected political for a number of years.

How much cash will McConnell have to come up with to buy the black vote this time?

Not yet. But Bannon and other outside agitators can probably change things quite a lot.

Pure fantasy to think that McDaniel can beat Wicker. His best chance is to make a move for Cochran’s seat.

Wicker is well liked by the average Mississippian. He is not ancient or doddering either; he won’t hide from debates with McDaniel or avoid public appearances like Cochran did. Unfortunately, a small but very visible fringe of McDaniel’s supporters are his biggest liability...they can’t seem to hide their crazy long enough not to tarnish their candidate: ie. the nursing home photos and after hours Hinds County Courthouse capers. The Dems knew about Cochran’s wife for many many years but had the sense to know that playing that card would only generate sympathy for Cochran as well as make them look grotesque for exploiting Mrs. Cochran’s misfortune.

From a strategic point of view going after Wicker is a waste of time and money and certain to fail.
