Black lives actually DON’T matter to NFL & the Left
Conservative Review ^ | 9/28/17 | Daniel Horowitz

Lost in the imbroglio over the NFL’s disrespect for our national anthem is the irony of the original impetus for Colin Kaepernick’s antics. New data shows there is a growing epidemic of violent crime in America, which is likely the result of dissuading police from proactive law enforcement work.

Sadly, the biggest victims of this rebounding epidemic are African Americans. Where is the protest or outrage over violent crime in inner cities rather than the police response to it (or lack thereof)?

It’s hard to overstate the importance of yesterday’s release of crime data from the FBI showing a second straight year with rising violent crime. After plummeting for 23 years, violent crime rose in 2015 and again in 2016, bending the only positive social trajectory we have witnessed over the past generation.

According to the FBI, violent crime rose by 4.1 percent and the murder rate spiked by 8.6 percent — the greatest single-year increase in 25 years. Also, while the murder rate spiked in all city size groups, it skyrocketed by over 20 percent in cities with over 1 million people. This, after increasing by a similar rate in 2015.

You know, for years everybody keeps making this statement, or question in a rhetorical manner. There is an answer to it. I wish more would actually answer the question.

Outrage about the level of black on black violence and crime in the inner cities would acknowledge a cultural problem in primarily black, inner city, neighborhoods. This would detract from the liberal narrative that they spoon feed their political subjects (aka, voters). Inner city crime does get local attention. But they cannot broadcast the problem nationally. It would make one victim segment of the voting block look bad. And those areas most affected by the problem are governed by Democrats.

Use that answer the next time the flippant question comes up.

Actually, the issue of concussions could be the thing that brings down the nfl. The argument would be the league knew about the dangers of concussions yet forced players, who happen to be predominately black, to continue to play while injured.

The punitive amounts could be staggering.

Brilliant point. All of this posturing is purposely denying the facts and reality of extreme failures of certain demographics within America. These excuses are easy to come by and incidentally the social justice, activism, race hustling and community organizing groups are a very lucrative industry. Peeling the onion always comes down to the socialist left that wants America to be destroyed and they are doing quite well.
