I might tune in to see how the opening ceremonies come down, but on antenna TV not hooked up in any way to technology. That way I'm not adding to "viewership". I think that if anyone turns on the game on computer, satellite, or cable even for a few minutes at the beginning, that becomes part of the total audience.

Exactly. The media narrative will be “EVERYONE stands against Trump”. They’re just goading people into joining their protest, even if they’re not on a knee. As you say, just standing for the anthem is unity and respecting those that have put on a uniform.
