Steve Bannon taunts Trump over Roy Moore victory: The people are '6-0 in these elections'
Washington Examiner ^ | 09/27/2016 | Naomi Lim

Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon mocked President Trump on Wednesday for backing the so-called Republican establishment favorite Luther Strange over Roy Moore in the GOP's Alabama U.S. Senate seat runoff.

"We're 6-0 in these elections," Bannon told Sirius XM's "Breitbart News Daily," referring to "we, the people" and the slew of special elections held under the Trump administration. "President Trump is 5-1. Oops! Did I say that? 5-1."

Moore won the contest with about 54.6 percent to Strange's 45.4 percent, per the Associated Press.

Bannon, who returned to Breitbart News as chairman right after his departure from the White House, warned Trump to heed the base that propelled him to victory in November.

"Do not get on the wrong side of the football of your base. Listen to the people, please," Bannon said. "I know all the troublemakers at Politico and Axios are going to be tweeting that out so the president sees it."

I love what Trump and Bannon are doing together...key word , together.

The media is more confused than NoKo on dealing with Trump.

I agree.

Bannon’s ‘taunt’ is locker room talk between team players.

I like Bannon, but I don’t think this is helpful.

Trump expressed the thought he may have been wrong to back Strange.

He does have a card to play now, saying he tried to back the party office-holder.

Now he can say that it does no good to go against his base.

He backed Mitch’s boys. No he can ask Mitch to back his play.

Trump will support Moore during the general election run-up.

I agree, it was not mocking. But, these are snowflakes and it probably would be to them.

Nah, it’s just locker room banter. W E is one our side. Bannon should run in 2020 in case the Swamp devours Trump in 3 years.

I agree with what you say here, but the problem may be deeper than just McConnell. I am pretty sure it is.

How did Moore’s vote total alone compare to the total Dem vote in their primary?

I don’t know what happened between President Trump and Mr. Bannon...but Steve Bannon should realize that you don’t burn your bridges...

Just seems like locker room repartee between two old pals.

Bannon could not seriously compare the success he has had with that of Donald J. Trump. Our President has excellent in such a diverse range of interests throughout his entire life - there are no other winners like him around

Pres. Trump should not burn the bridges to his support.
He made promises, and some are simply ignored, not totally
by him, but he KNEW Ryan and McConnell were useless
as Pelosi.

ObamaCARE, taxes, SWAMP-removal, IRS Atrocity, ...

Bannon has not burned any bridges.

He continues to work hard for Trump

Too many pro-palestinian generals in the white house is the problem.

I disagree. I think it's incredibly helpful. Trump is being shut out (on purpose) from the voices he needs to hear and listening to the wrong people. Trump dodged a bullet with this race, He needs to pay attention to the people OUTSIDE the White House. That is where his base of support lies. He needs to stay up to speed.
