The guy is full of sh!t on several levels, but there’s an angle to this for Pittsburgh fans that hasn’t gotten much attention. After staging their stupid and offensive protest on Sunday, the Steelers went out onto the field and lost the game to a Chicago Bears team that is one of the worst in the NFL this season. I’m sure a lot of fans now believe — CORRECTLY, I might add — that the Steelers organization cares more about these pre-game protests than they do about playing football.

There are times when you have to take a stand, literally. The National Anthem is one of those times. If the team chooses to hide, that is equivalent to abandoning their obligation. I think people find being unreliable as bad or worse than being offensive.
