Tenth graders are supposed to master those basic physics notions and know the difference between power and energy. Yet most journalists and talking heads don’t.
Teaching has been dumbeb down for decades by the marxist teaching unions everywhere in the world and we are just seeing the end result of it.

My father-in-law was an EE. He was hired because he understood AC power generation and distribution. His plant used a lot of electrical power. Between his and mine I have a number of slide rules and ancient devices. smile (Simpson 260’s etc) I still have some transmitters and receivers with “valves”. My Collins S-line (32S-3 75S-3) is one of them.

I’m not an engineer, but hold a commercial radio license and an Amateur Extra. Power generation and transmission is not my area but I understand electronics pretty well.

But you are correct in evaluation of journalists and poly/phi folks.

There was a time when sciences were not fuzzy logic. Now, since Glowbull Warming and such nonsense it has become a political tool.
