I hope and pray this is all true, especially As$wiper Busche (hate the beer), but unless I am wrong, the Radisson quote is word for word from a 2014 ESPN story after Peterson was indicted on child abuse charges...

Please correct the date.
Click the ABUSE button and ask the moderator to change the date to the correct one.
Article skimmers might think this is related to the recent childish behavior of the players- WHICH IT IS NOT.

But just yesterday we were assured that the sponsors didn’t mind this “display of unity.”

I take issue with the reference to, “....the actions of a few players.....”. Maybe I am missing something, but I am not seeing any teams or players actually condemn this crap that is going on with disrespecting the US Flag and National Anthem.

This what happens when a business lets rogues steal their intellectual property.
The players stole the brand of the NFL, and used their storefront as the stage for their own selfish protests. They usurped the goodwill and brand loyalty that the NFL spent generations building, and squandered it on a meaningless protest, based on lies, by a has-been player.
Good luck to the NFL as they recover from their New Coke moment.

Here's a thought: Instread of paying a small fortune for tickets to watch grown 300# men slap the piss out of each other for 6 & 7 figure salaries (salaries most of you DON'T earn), how about you and a few hundred of your pissed off friends start attending your Representative's Town Hall Meetings where you will ask him/her well researched questions? Watching him squirm to avoid a straight answer can be more fun than that NFL or NBA circus.
WHY? In describing the Proles, George Orwell spelled it out in his epic book 1984. He missed the exact date by a few decades but, not to worry: We're closing in on the dystopian world he predicted.
Soon. Very soon!!
...films, football, beer, and, above all, gambling filled up the horizon of their minds.

The advertisers mentioned seemed to have concerns about individual player’s conduct & incidents and the NFL’s response (or lack thereof). Not the anthem crybaby protests. That’s not mentioned anywhere.

What a difference a day makes, huh.
Yesterday: “The NFLs top corporate sponsors havent expressed any concern about the unprecedented wave of player national anthem protests this weekend, a league spokesman said Monday.”

What really tees me off is that its virtually impossible to avoid contributing monetarily to professional sports because of the myriad of companies that produce goods that I consume and who then advertise during sporting events or sponsor, in some form or fashion, professional players and/or their teams. In addition, tax money is disgustingly spent to build and maintain outrageously expensive stadiums.

The numbers must be in, and advertisers are ready to walk.
On average NFL players make 2.4 million dollars per year. That
is about to end.
Thats where “taking a knee” has gotten them!
