Gaulandread is taking any reluctance to send troops to fight for Israel as a reason for the country to stop saying Israel has a right to exist.

One can (and should) say Israel has a right to exist, regardless of any future possible troop deployments.

Repeat after me: Israel has a right to exist.

You know who has a problem saying that? Iran. AfD.

Israel has a right to exist.

That said, Jews in Germany are still better served by the ONLY party that is in favor of ending further Muslim immigration.

Germany gets a lot of immigration these days from many different countries.

Germany is the second most popular migration destination in the world, after the United States.

The large numbers of muslim war refugees are not immigrants and technically are expected to return once their countries are stable. A trickle are already starting back to Afghanistan.

As for AfD being best for Israel:

As of 2016, there are over 10 million [51] foreign nationals from all around the globe living and working in Germany, making up almost 12% of the population.

Less than 12%. Not bad. Totally manageable. And that is from all over the world which breaks them down to many different cultures, religions and ideas. Some integrating to the German culture better than others but still integrating.

"I bet following a poster from thread to thread and posting on that thread would not be an element of the crime of "cyber stalking.""

I agree it would be extremely difficult to prove especially being only on one platform (Freerepublic.) I would rather avoid him since he will not clarify what he means by "stalking"

Stalking has a legal definition I don't think he knows what it means.

"If we recognize Israel we're obligated to defend Israel.
Who says? "

That was implied by the quote made by Alexander Gaulandread. I can't find any reference to the conversation. I only have that simple quote.

As far as I know it was a media out of context quote. Typical crap they pull.

I'm simply disagreeing that this statement alone makes him an anti-Semite. i stand by that point.

The Poles, Czechs, Slovaks, and Hungarians experienced 40 years of Communism, and recognize that the EU is Marxism under another guise, more subtle and less brutal than the USSR, but still into mind control and internationalism.

"$89 billion since 1952. The real concern may be that AfD will bring up the subject of phasing out reparations payments. "

I wasn't aware of that. If anything it should go to the individuals that is still alive that were harmed. Not to Israel. I have to agree with them on that.

"“If Israel’s existence is part of the German national interest, then we would have to be prepared to send German soldiers to defend the Jewish state.” (which is what he apparently said)"

Thank you

What I found interesting in the post-election, party affiliation map of Germany is that the AfD is very predominately based in the part of Germany that used to be East Germany, MUCH more so than in the regions that were previously West Germany.

Multiple national and cultural strains are at work in that division, including that the eastern regions continues to reflect less economic development that the western regions. In such a situation, the immigrant issue is going to resonate more (as it should, for other than just economic reasons).

What came to my mind was something from a famous Italian author who was a major critic of the left and of Islam. Her history goes back to pre-WWII and she commented how the Marxists and the Fascists literally changed their uniform of the day to be with which ever were the “winners” (the “Marxists or the Fascists”) depending on the course of events. Many Marxists readily joined with Mussolini after he got power, and just as readily put back on their Marxist label after Mussolini was hung. She claimed that Italy was not alone in that experience in Europe at the time, in spite of what Marxist politicians, academics and pundits claim - about Marxists and Fascists being so on opposite philosophic sides from each other.

As for AfD being best for Israel:

I didn't say AfD was best for Israel. I said "Jews in Germany are still better served by the ONLY party that is in favor of ending further Muslim immigration"

Israel benefits from Europe being inhospitable to Jews, since that means they are more likely to move to Israel. Europe being better for Jews might mean that more Jews leave Israel to escape high Israeli tax rates.

“If Israel’s existence is part of the German national interest," he said at a party press conference on Monday, using the German term Staatsräson, "then we would have to be prepared to send German soldiers to defend the Jewish state."

That statement can be taken in several ways, to be honest. But I suspect he meant it in a negative way. Antisemitism is on the rise in Europe for sure, as well as, other parts of the world.
