Good for them. They wanted to watch an event for a few hours to get away from it all, and their reward was a view to a protest, and an ill-defined one at that.
No kidding! People pay a lot of money to lose themselves in some fun, away from work, politics, marital problems...the list goes on.
They don't pay top dollar to be lectured to by a bunch of spoiled millionaires, who are, of course, athletically talented. But that is all people want...to see that talent on display, while enjoying some nachos or a hot dog and a beer or a soda pop.
