NFL sponsors unconcerned about national anthem protests: Official
FOXBUS ^

The NFL’s top corporate sponsors haven’t expressed any concern about the unprecedented wave of player national anthem protests this weekend, a league spokesman said Monday.

NFL players engaged in widespread demonstrations on Sunday, hours after President Donald Trump called on the league’s owners to fire ‘son of a [expletive]’ who kneel during the pregame national anthem. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and the vast majority of the league’s 32 owners issued statements in solidarity with players and condemned Trump for engaging in divisive rhetoric.

“We talk to our sponsors all the time, whether it’s raining or the sun is out. We’ve talked to them, we keep them informed. I haven’t heard of a single issue of a sponsor that is worried or has raised particular issue about the weekend,” NFL spokesman Joe Lockhart told reporters during a conference call Monday.

You mean to tell the sponsors are that clueless also?
Then the whole things can just collapse from the built in stupidity. Man these people are in some kind of Total Denial and think it's a bad dream they will wake up from. I don't think so, I think it may be irreversible.

The League wouldn’t let the Dallas Cowboys wear armbands or put stickers on their helmets to honor the cops who were killed. Yet, they allow this. Very telling, huh.

I'm proud to say that I've not done business with any of those listed outfits for many years.

And the bastards can count on many more.

FU NFL!

I live in Washington State. My wife is a diehard Seahawks fan. Born and raised. She told me today she’s done with them and the rest of the NFL. She also worked long and hard on Donald Trump’s campaign and like me is fed up with the total disrespect he’s received since the day he was sworn in. College football is better anyway. To hell with the NFL and thank God we have a president that loves his country.

That's what Target said.

Thank goodness, no beer companies so I won’t have to boycott beer:

Did Anheuser-Busch stop making beer?

Tom Brady said that what President Trump said was “divisive”.

What Tom and his ilk fail to see is that the Kaepernick kneel is what is “divisive”. It is not divisive to stand at attention for the national anthem. It is courtesy and respect for all who have fought to defend that flag. Yes, mostly white folks for sure, but many black folks as well. Thousands and thousands of those folks paid the ultimate price with their lives. Is that “divisive”, Tom?

Forget the country Tom. Look to your own NFL rule book. You taunt another player or show too much celebration , or don’t stand for the anthem you are supposed to be penalized. Which is more “divisive” Tom, “taunting” another player or not taunting? Do you condone ridiculing your teammate for a botched play? No, that is “divisive”. Yet you can not allow your fellow teammates and fans to honor their country by standing for the national anthem. Instead you encourage a minority of your teammates to “taunt” them and their beliefs.

Spoiled rotten hypocrites, all.

I have a Visa card with my local bank...going to call the bank and tell them I will cancel the card if Visa doesn’t cancel the sponsorship..

If they don’t and my bank continues to be partners with VISA I will have to close all my accounts with them also..

I miss the old Waldenbooks.

Glad that the franchise I loved was sold by the kind old couple before it went nuts. They are long gone.

Some people claim that Anheuser-Busch bottles horse piss, not beer.

“We’re pretty sure there’s some sort of Rule about political acts while in uniform. While representing the City of Chicago, Department of Police, you have no political affiliation, are not permitted to comment on just about anything unless duly authorized by the Superintendent of Police and certainly cannot protest in a police station of all places.”

Chicago?

After two (maybe three?) years NFL-free, I'm here to assure any of you for whom this boycott will mean a cold-turkey experience, that it's not nearly as difficult a habit to kick as you may be thinking/fearing !
