Interestingly, the NFL actually has a lower rate of arrests than does the population of the USA as a whole, according to www.nflarrest.com - which is a gem of a site I found in my research. One could argue that this is because many of these athletes are protected from arrest like other celebrities.

Now control for the average salary being $1M. That will even out the "protected from arrest" factor and clarify that they are not at all comparable to "the USA as a whole".

Maybe if Jesus came down and personally signed a notarized statement that NFL players have a low arrest rate. And me watching.
