This won’t help until the State Dept realizes it is their job to represent the US to other countries, not to represent other countries to the US. That’s what their foreign ministries are for. It’s Trump’s ‘America First’ plain and simple.

Get it straight! Deputy Chiefs of Mission (the no. 2) actually run the embassies. I’ll wager not one American in fifty can name a US ambassador who made a difference — both when and where.
