Trump is giving a strong and extended endorsement of Luther Strange complete with personal anecdotes and saying that Strange hasn’t been treated fairly and that he doesn’t even know Mitch McConnell. This speech is likely to move several percent of the voters toward Strange. Roy Moore and allies are really going to have to hit everything very hard to neutralize this speech.
“Trump is giving a strong and extended endorsement of Luther Strange complete with personal anecdotes and saying that Strange hasnt been treated fairly and that he doesnt even know Mitch McConnell.”
as we say in the south, that’s a bald-faced lie: “Big Luther” is “Big Lie Luther”—he was a K street lobbyist for 23 years and most certainly is well-aquainted with the turtle.
No coincidence that his attacks on Moore are funded by McConnell’s pals.
Trump predicted a democrat will win in November if “Big Luther” doesn’t win Tuesday—he’s right, because McConnell would rather see a democrat win than a guy who understands he is working for the people, not K street.
And McConnell will make sure that effort is well-funded.
