My wife just left a job at a very rural hospital this last month because she could see the writing on the wall. It is the only employer in that small community aside from the school system and it’s closing will be devastating. The city sold it out to a company that has put several million dollars into it and its still failing, they are eventually going to have to cut bait. They could open fifty-four beds but routinely kept only twelve to twenty-four really open and mostly had ten patients or less at any one time.

She worked in their finance department and saw the revenue flow and AP flows and they are eight million in the hole and they had over a million dollars in AP over one hundred and twenty days old and were starting to get supplies on COD only, she started looking and found a job at another hospital, she took a pay cut of a few thousand dollars but she looks for her former employers to close their doors within the next twelve months. They were applying for a USDA loan of eight million which would give them a reprieve of a few more months but they won’t be able to make he loan payments.

When it closes it will finish off this little town completely.
