The research study done by the John Jay College of Criminal Justice shows that, contrary to what one might suspect from the sensational reporting by the media, only 4% of priests and deacons in active ministry have been plausibly accused of abuse. This figure is similar to the rate of frequency in the rest of the adult population. So, while this number is still unacceptably, it is indeed few. One should not let one’s prejudices get the better of oneself.
“the filth of the pervasiveness?” Your addled zeal in slander is duly noted.
Thank you Trailerpark person.
Sodomite priests raping little boys is an offense to a Holy God and is pervasive in the Roman Catholc Church.
They are only able to pay off the victims because people keep dropping money in the offering plate.
Snap shut the check book and drive them out.
His superiors obviously believed he did it, else they would not have reassigned him.
and is pervasive in the Roman Catholc Church. False.
In addition, you are ignoring the steps that the Catholic Church has taken to address the problem. One cannot throw out wild charges or create "facts" to make the problem greater than it is in order satisfy one's hatreds and prejudices. False witness is also an offense to a Holy God.
They believed that he was being "too helpful" and asked inappropriate questions, not that he was guilty of sexual impropriety.
Deacon Tim McNeil, chancellor and spokesman for the Archdiocese of Omaha, said the 26-year-old is an inexperienced priest who went overboard in his questioning and was probably just 'trying to be too helpful.'McNeil told the World Herald that confession is supposed to be a time for conversation and not an interrogation.
He also said that he thinks Mishek was trying to get students to 'really discern and be in touch with any sinful behavior they had.' Mishek, he said, was probably 'trying to be too helpful.'
Did WHAT, exactly? The article only supports the thought that he may have suggested a rather too pointed examination of conscience, and some folks got upset about it.
Sadly, one "can" do such things. And some folks do it all too often.
False witness is also an offense to a Holy God.
It is. May God grant them the grace of repentance and conversion.
I’m definitely a hater of sodomite pervert priests raping and molesting little boys as they frequently do, as evidenced by the millions and millions of dollars the Vatican has poured out to pay for their crimes.
We have b*ll cl*nton to thank for that.
